SSC JE Exam 2024 – Overview

The SSC JE notification has been released on 28th March 2024. Candidates can Apply Online for the SSC JE exam until 18th April 2024. SSC JE Syllabus 2024 – Revised Exam Pattern

The SSC Junior Engineer Examination 2024 will consist of two papers i.e. Paper-I (Computer-Based Examination) and Paper-II (Computer-Based Examination). Details of these Paper Pattern are as follows:

SSC JE Revised Paper I Exam Pattern

Candidates will have 2 hours for the SSC JE examination 2024, while those eligible for a scribe will be allotted a total of 2 hours and 40 minutes.

SSC JE Revised Paper II Exam Pattern

Candidates who qualify in SSC JE Paper 1 will further appear for Paper 2, which will only test their knowledge in their respective Engineering Stream. The detailed exam pattern is as follows:

Important Points:

1. Online Application Process: Candidates must select the appropriate section (Part-A, Part-B, or Part-C) based on their educational qualifications during the online application process.
2. Paper-I and Paper-II Sections for Different Positions: Each position requires attempting a specific section (Part-A, Part-B, or Part-C) in both Paper-I and Paper-II.
3. Consequences of Non-Compliance: Failure to attempt the designated section according to their educational qualification will result in the rejection of the candidate’s application.
4. Question Format and Marking Scheme: Paper I and Paper II will consist of Objective Type, Multiple-choice questions, with negative markings for wrong answers.
5. Allowed Aids and Restrictions: Candidates can bring certain aids like Slide–Rule, Calculator, etc., for Paper II only; their use is prohibited in Paper-I.

The SSC JE Paper 2 exam will be conducted in CBT Mode, and questions will only be asked from the specified Engineering Streams. The syllabus details are as follows:
