The SSC has released the SSC JE Paper 1 exam date through their official website, scheduled to be held on the 5th, 6th, and 7th of June 2024. SSC JE Selection Process 2024

The Selection Process for the SSC JE 2024 consists of three stages which are Paper I, Paper II, and the Document Verification. Candidates who want to qualify for the examination need to clear Paper I and Paper II after which candidates will be called for the document verification. As per the notification, the selection process includes:

  1. Paper I: This is a Computer Based Exam consisting of objective-type questions from three sections – GA, Reasoning, and Specific Engineering Field( As Chosen by the candidates).
  2. Paper II:  This is also a Computer Based Examination in which candidates have to answer Objective Type Questions for their engineering domain paper.
  3. Document Verification: Candidates have to submit all the required documents as asked by the exam conducting authority.

SSC JE Selection Process: Paper I Exam Pattern

Candidates must be aware of the details of Paper I of the SSC JE 2024. All the candidates need to clear Paper I to qualify for Paper II. We have mentioned below the exam pattern for Paper I.

Candidates will have 2 hours for the SSC JE examination 2024, while those eligible for a scribe will be allotted a total of 2 hours and 40 minutes.

  • Candidates must attempt the General Engineering part (Part-A, Part-B, or Part-C) in Paper-I, chosen based on their educational qualification in the online application form.
  • Paper-I will contain only Objective Type, Multiple-choice questions available in both Hindi and English.
  • For each incorrect answer in Paper-I, one-third of the marks allotted to the question will be deducted as negative marking.
  • Marks obtained by candidates in the Computer Based Examination, which will be conducted in multiple shifts, will be normalized using a formula provided by the Commission.
  • There will be no provision for re-evaluation or re-checking of scores for any stage or paper of the examination. The Commission will not entertain any correspondence regarding this matter.

SSC JE Selection Process: Paper II Exam Pattern

Candidates must be aware of the details of Paper I of the SSC JE 2024. Qualified candidates of Paper II will be called for document verification. We have mentioned below the exam pattern for Paper II.

  • Candidates must attempt the General Engineering part (Part-A, Part-B, or Part-C) in Paper-II based on their selected educational qualification in the online application form.
  • Paper II will comprise only of Objective Type, Multiple-choice questions available in both Hindi & English.
  • Candidates are permitted to bring their own Slide-Rule, Calculator, Logarithm Table, and Steam Table for Paper II exclusively.
  • In Paper I, there will be a negative marking of one-third of the marks allotted to each question for every incorrect answer.
  • The marks obtained by candidates in the Computer Based Examination, if held in multiple shifts, will be normalized.

SSC JE Selection Process – Document Required For The Verification

Candidates shortlisted in the final merit list of SSC JE 2024 had to attend the Document Verification process and they had to provide all required documents during this mandatory selection process for the SSC JE Examination.
