1. Inspiring Success Story of Rohit Jain

I am Rohit Jain from Udaipur, Rajasthan. I cleared IBPS PO this year and got provisional allotment in Allahabad Bank. I had done my graduation in Electrical Engineering and after that, I started working as an Electrical Engineer in a Mining company.

While working, I started to explore alternate career opportunities and thought of preparing for CAT but eventually shifted my focus on banking exams.

Devoting time for rigorous preparation was not possible for me as I was working in shifts, but I was adamant of achieving my goals by properly planning my studying schedule and decided to have an online source for coaching as there was no offline coaching available at my place of posting.

I was having a basic idea of what I had to study due to some coaching experience for CAT during my final year of engineering. 

So, I started preparing through the Edge platform of Oliveboard and this has played a major role in my success.

2. Section-wise Preparation Strategy

2.1 Quant Section Preparation Strategy

This has been my favorite subject and I was quite good at it. The only thing I needed was the speed and tricks to solve questions. Oliveboard online classes, LPS, topic/Full-length tests were of great use for increasing speed for the quant section.

2.2 Reasoning Section Preparation Strategy

This has been the most tricky section for everybody as one must be very sure about what to attempt and what not. For this section, I strengthened the selected topics and practiced them hard to be sure about them by analyzing previous year patterns.

2.3 English Section Preparation Strategy

My English preparation was all about increasing my reading habit by reading newspapers and books, practicing passages. I went through concept videos of Oliveboard for Grammar concepts and practiced a lot of questions. 

2.4 GA Section Preparation Strategy

This was the most challenging section for me as I was afraid to mug up a lot of news and static GK, but by watching daily TNA, banking concept videos, and 5@5 by Aditya Sir of Oliveboard made my preparation for this section easy. I preferred self-made notes for this section in place of any capsules as suggested by Aditya sir for this particular section and it was really of great help.

2.5 Tips for Interview Preparation

My interview was all about my current job, my strengths and weaknesses, and some questions on digital banking. One to one session with Aditya sir was helpful as he provided some good points that can be asked related to my current job. Confidence and attentiveness is the key here.

3. How Oliveboard helped Rohit Succeed

Content and concept videos of Oliveboard are exceptionally good for anyone who is preparing for competitive exams. I have been attempting mock tests of Oliveboard and found the level of these tests higher than the actual exam which helped me a lot.
