FCI Manager Reasoning Preparation: FCI released the FCI Manager 2022 Recruitment Notification on the 24th of August, 2022. The online registration process for the same opened on the 27th of August and will close on the 26th of September, 2022.

FCI conducts its Manager recruitment in two phases. Phase I is a general test that covers English, Quantitative, Reasoning, and General Studies. Phase II is a post-specific exam with either one of two papers depending on the post.

The Reasoning section is one of the sections that candidates may find the hardest to crack. This is because the logic for each question varies and needs time to figure out. However, that need not be a worry. With enough exposure to questions, practice, and mock tests you can surely ace the reasoning section. FCI Manager Reasoning Preparation- Important Tips

Reasoning as a section can be scoring when you get a hang of how to solve the different types of questions. That proficiency comes with regular practice and exposure to a variety of questions of each type. From the exam pattern, it is seen that the Reasoning Section is of 25 questions of 25 marks total. 15 minutes is the time allotted.

Phase II

Phase II has 4 papers. Depending on the post, the candidate may have to appear for one paper or two papers out of the four. A candidate can apply for three kinds of Managerial posts:

Like with Phase I, the Reasoning section is of 25 questions and 25 marks total. However, the time allotted for the section is slightly higher at 20 minutes.

Paper III has general intelligence which may cover basic numerical aptitude and reasoning. For Paper III basic revision of the Phase I syllabus will suffice.

FCI Manager Previous Year Analysis: Reasoning

If you’re confused about how to prioritize your preparation for Reasoning, first figure out your weak areas and focus on practicing them. Other than that, you can also study the weightage for different topics based on the previous year’s paper. As you can see, the maximum number of questions has come from Puzzles. Out of the 35 questions that were asked in Reasoning at the time, 20 were exclusively puzzles. So for the best performance, it would be advisable to practice puzzles and arrangements as much as possible. Ignoring this topic will only lead to the loss of a chunk of marks which is best to avoid.

No, FCI Manager doesn’t have a sectional cutoff. It only has a category-wise overall cutoff. The previous year’s cut-off for the general category was 75.
