UPSC CAPF Selection Process 2024

UPSC CAPF Selection Process 2024 consists of three stages: Written Examination, Physical Fitness Test and Interview/Personality Test. In written exam, there will be two papers of total 5 hours duration. Paper 1 consists of question on General Ability and Intelligence and the weightage of Paper 1 will be 250 marks. Paper 2 consists of question about General Studies, Essays, and Comprehension and carries the weightage of 200 marks. The written exam is followed by PET/PST and Medical Test. After that Interview is conducted.

UPSC CAPF Selection Process

The UPSC CAPF Selection Process 2024 has three stages. This means that those candidates who successfully clear all the stages of the exam, they have the opportunity to be recruited as Assistant Commandants in various CAPF services mentioned in the notification.

The first stage of the CAPF Selection Process is the Written Exam. Candidates who clear this written test stage, they qualify for the Physical Standard Test/Medical Test.

UPSC CAPF Selection Process 2024 – PET/PST and Medical Test

To proceed to the next stage, a candidate must meet the minimum qualifying marks in the CAPF written examination. Those candidates who meet the cut off criterion is called for Physical Efficiency Tests (PET) and a Medical Standards Test. Candidates successful in the PET are eligible for the Medical Standards Test, while those who do not qualify in the PET will be disqualified from further consideration in the selection process.

The Interview/Personality Test carries 150 Marks. Candidates who are short-listed for the Interview/Personality Test, provisionally will be issued a Detailed Application Form (DAF) in which among other things, they will be required to indicate their preference of Forces.

Candidates who qualify for the Interview, will be provided with a Detailed Application Form (DAF). Several details will have to be specified in the form, including their preference of forces.

Before getting started with the form filling for DAF, candidates should ensure about the documents and information that will be needed during the form-filling process. It is important to keep them ready at the start.

The above-mentioned documents must be scanned in their original copies in 200 DPI greyscale. They must then be converted into a single PDF file up to 2 MB. The PDF file must not be password protected and should be uploaded as part of DAF.
