TNPSC encourages applicants to apply online for various positions. TNPSC Group I is the highest level of examination offered by the Commission for positions in Tamil Nadu, such as Deputy Collector, District Registrar, Deputy Superintendent, and District Employment Officer.

While Group II exam is held by the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission to recruit Gazetted officials under the Group I officers. Group III assessments are carried to fill positions such as Store Keeper,  Junior Inspector, Station Fire Officer, Assistant Supervisor, etc.

The TNPSC Group IV Exam is conducted to hire candidates for clerical positions in the Tamil Nadu State Government. Every year, a large number of candidates apply for TNPSC Group IV positions, with the only criterion being that they pass the SSLC Public Examination. For all other posts, the TNPSC Eligibility Criteria for educational requirements mandated by the Commission is a Graduate degree.

Candidates who are interested in taking the exam should be aware of the application process as well as the qualifying conditions. Candidates for positions in groups 1 to 3 must be between the ages of 21 and 37, while those in TNPSC Group 4 must be between the ages of 18 and 30.
