The TNPSC Group 1 selection process 2024 will comprise three key stages – Prelims exam, Mains exam and Interview. The prelims exam aims to shortlist candidates for the mains. It tests general knowledge, aptitude and reasoning skills.

TNPSC Group 1 Selection Process: Prelims

TNPSC Group 1 Prelims exam is the first phase of the recruitment process.

  • TNPSC Group 1 Prelims 2024 comprises two sections: General Studies and Aptitude & Mental Ability.
  • The General Studies section contains 150 questions, while the Aptitude and Mental Ability section consist of 50 questions.
  • Each question in the exam carries 1.5 marks, resulting in a total paper weightage of 300 marks.

TNPSC Group 1 Selection Process: Mains

The TNPSC Group 1 Mains exam 2024 is the second phase of the selection process which has three descriptive papers. The number of questions from each topic varies in the papers. Topics include:
