Karnataka PDO Eligibility Criteria

The candidates should carefully go through the below-mentioned eligibility criteria for the Karnataka Panchayat Development Officer before applying for the post. The eligibility criteria have been bifurcated into age criteria and educational qualification criteria.

Age Criteria:

The minimum age for all the candidates for the post of Karnataka Panchayat Development Officer is 18 years as of 1 January 2021. 

The maximum age for the general candidates is 35 years as of 1 January 2021.

However, there has been age relaxation for the reserved candidates which has been provided below:

1. For SC and ST candidates, the maximum age has been set as 40 years as of 1 January 2021.
2. For 2A, 2B, 3A, 3B candidates, the maximum age has been set as 38 years as of 1 January 2021.

Educational Qualification:

The applying candidate must possess a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree. Bachelor’s degree like B.E., B.Sc, B.Ed will be accepted. Other degrees may also be accepted provided that it has equal educational value. The Master’s degree should be M.A., M.Ed, M.Sc, MCA, M.Tech or M.E. from a reputed and well-recognized university. However, Diploma, Padada Ratna, Visharada, Pandit, and other Hindi Sabha degrees would be given topmost priority.

Karnataka PDO Application Fees

A specific amount has been decided as the application fee for different candidates. The application fee is different for different categories of candidates which have been provided below:

1. For General, 2A, 2B, 3A, 3B Candidates, the application fee has been prescribed as 500 Rs.

2. For the SCs, STs, Ex-Servicemen, or Physically handicapped candidates, the application fee has been prescribed as 250 Rs.

Karnataka PDO Exam Pattern

The Karnataka PDO exam is a written exam having objective-type questions. The exam is divided into two parts and each paper has a total duration of 2 hours each. Each paper has 100 questions with 2 marks each. The following is the paper pattern:
