TNPSC Group 1 Exam Pattern

The TNPSC Group 1 exam pattern has two stages – Prelims and Mains. In Prelims, there is one objective paper with two sections and 200 questions for 300 marks. In Mains, there are three descriptive papers, each of 250 marks. So Mains has 750 marks in total. The Prelims paper tests general knowledge and aptitude. Mains papers evaluate written skills and subject knowledge through detailed answers.

TNPSC Group 1 Syllabus 2024 – Mains Exam Pattern

The TNPSC Group 1 Mains exam 2024 has three descriptive papers. The number of questions from each topic varies in the papers. Topics include history, geography, polity, economy, science, current affairs etc. The questions test conceptual knowledge and writing skills. TNPSC Group 1 Syllabus 2024

The Group 1 preliminary exam tests general knowledge, current affairs, logical reasoning and mental ability in an objective format.
