TISSNET and TISSMAT exams are held on all of these campuses to select candidates who want to pursue a career in the field of business management. Aside from the campuses mentioned above, TISS provides research, training, teaching, and development support through a network of centres spread across India.

TISSNET and TISSMAT are TISS Mumbai’s entrance exams for admission to the institute’s various courses. TISSNET will be required of all TISSNET candidates, regardless of the programs for which they have applied. TISSNET evaluates the participant’s social aptitude, whereas TISSMAT was created to evaluate the participant’s business aptitude. TISSNET candidates should be aware of current events, developmental and socio-political issues. In contrast, TISSMAT candidates should be familiar with management literature and read and interpret data related to the economy, market, and business situations. On the other hand, aspirants who have applied for MA in Human Resource Management & Labour Relations (HRM &LR) or MA in Organization Development, Change, and Leadership (ODCL) courses must take the TISSMAT exam.

TISSNET, or TISS National Entrance Test, is a national-level exam held by TISS in Mumbai. It is held to admit MBA candidates to the university’s postgraduate programs.

TISSNET vs TISSMAT: Selection Process

Candidates must first pass the TISSNET exam before taking the TISSMAT. The aspiring candidates who can clear TISSNET Exam with all the required eligibility criteria are shortlisted to paper for TISS MAT Exam. For the final selection, there will be a pre-interview test as well as a personal interview. TISSNET is required of all MBA applicants, regardless of the program for which they have applied. The TISSNET score will be used only to shortlist candidates for the second stage of the TISS selection process; it will not be factored into the final score.

Except for management courses, all other MA programs’ Pre Interview Test and Personal Interview scores will be combined in a 70:30 ratio for final selection.
