Corporate affairs ministry said that the requirement for a DRR of 25% of the value of outstanding debentures issued by listed companies, NBFCs & HFCs has been removed. In the case of unlisted companies, the DRR requirement has been reduced to 10%.

Paytm announced the promotion of its Chief Financial Officer Madhur Deora as the company's President. Deora served as Managing Director in Citigroup's investment banking business in New York, London and Mumbai. He joined Paytm in October 2016.

Veteran music director-composer Mohammed Zahur Khayyam Hashmi, best known for his music in classic films such as 'Umrao Jaan' & 'Kabhi Kabhi', passed away in Mumbai. He was 92. He won Sangeet Natak Akademi Award in 2007, 3 Filmfare Awards for Best Music.
He was conferred with Padma Bhushan award.
