India's Rudranksh Patil won a bronze medal in the 10m Air Rifle event by scoring 262.2 points in the 8th ISSF World Cup Shooting Championship at the Madhya Pradesh State Shooting Academy of Excellence in Bhopal. This is Rudraksh's second medal in this World Cup. He won a bronze medal in the mixed event, playing with his partner Narmada Raju.
United Nations General Assembly established the Outreach Programme on the transatlantic slave trade and slavery, also designated 25 March as the annual International Day of Remembrance of the Victims of Slavery and the Transatlantic Slave Trade. The Day is observed with ceremonies and activities at United Nations Headquarters in New York and at United Nations.

Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs has extended the subsidy of two hundred rupees per LPG cylinder for a period of one year. As on 1st March this year, there are nine crore 59 lakh Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana beneficiaries. The average LPG consumption of Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana consumers has increased by 20 percent from 3.01 refills in 2019-20 to 3.68 in 2021-22.

Government has announced in Bengaluru the approval for setting of the Rs 180 crore worth Electronics Manufacturing Cluster (EMC) at Dharwad which is expected to create over 18,000 jobs. The project, which is being set up at Kotur-Balur Industrial Area in Dharwad District of Karnataka under EMC 2.0 scheme, is expected to catalyse investments to the tune of over Rs 1,500 cr.

The state legislature has unanimously re-adopted The Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Online Gambling and Regulation of Online Games Ordinance, 2022 which aims to ban online gambling. The bill adopted first on 19 Oct 2022 was returned to the government for reconsideration on 8 March by Governor R.N. Ravi, who sought additional information and suggested changes to the proposed law.

‘Androth’, the second of 08 x ASW Shallow Water Craft (SWC) Project, being built by M/s GRSE for Indian Navy was launched on 21 March 2023 at M/s GRSE, Kolkata. The ship has been named Androth to signify the strategic maritime importance accorded to the island of Androth, located about 170 Nm north-west of Kochi, in the Union Territory of Lakshadweep.
