Santosh Kumar Jha is set to be next Chairman & Managing Director (CMD) of Konkan Railway Corporation Limited (KRCL), a PSU under the Ministry of Railways. The Konkan Railway, a subsidiary of Indian Railways, is responsible for overseeing the development and maintenance of 741 kilometers of rail network along the Konkan coast.

India among top countries with high income, wealth inequality: UNDP report

India has emerged among top countries with high income and wealth inequality but the share of the population living in multidimensional poverty fell from 25 to 15 per cent between 2015-16 and 2019-21, the UNDP said in a new report.

In India, between 2000 and 2022, per capita income soared from $442 to $2,389.

NTPC and NHAI partner to use ash in road construction

NTPC and the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) announced their joint collaboration to incorporate Ash from thermal power plants in road construction.
