The Airports Authority of India has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with Bharat Taxi, a driver-owned cooperative taxi service operated by Sahakar Taxi Cooperative Ltd., to introduce regulated and passenger-friendly cab services at several of its airports.
The MoU was exchanged by AAI chairman Vipin Kumar, marking a significant step toward improving inclusive last-mile connectivity for air travellers.
This partnership aims to provide transparent, fair, and reliable transportation options on the airport premises.
Bharat Taxi, promoted by the National Cooperative Development Corporation and supported by leading cooperative institutions, operates on a unique driver-owned cooperative model.
The initiative aligns closely with key national priorities, including Atmanirbhar Bharat, Sahakar se Samriddhi and the long-term vision of Viksit Bharat 2047.
Services under this collaboration are proposed to commence at the airports in Rajkot, Vadodara, Surat, Bhuj, Pune, Aurangabad, Varanasi, Kanpur, Prayagraj, and Agra.
This MoU forms part of Bharat Taxi's broader expansion strategy following its formal launch earlier this month by Union Home Minister Amit Shah as India's first cooperative-based taxi service.

Transcorp International Limited has received in-principle approval from the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) for participation in Centralized Payment Systems (CPS), marking a significant development in its banking services infrastructure.
The CPS authorisation, which is typically granted to Banks, enables the Company to build and operate its payment ecosystem with RTGS and NEFT capabilities, in accordance with applicable RBI guidelines. India has improved its position by four slots and is now placed at 45th rank as per the Network Readiness Index 2025 (NRI 2025) report released on 4.2.2026. The report maps the network-based readiness landscape of 127 economies based on their performance in four pillars: Technology, People, Governance and Impact, covering a total of 53 indicators.
The report has been prepared by the Portulans Institute, an independent, non-profit research and educational institute based in Washington DC.

As part of its continued efforts to conserve biodiversity and ensure fair and equitable sharing of benefits from the use of biological resources, the National Biodiversity Authority (NBA) has disbursed Rs 45.05 lakh to benefit claimers through State Biodiversity Boards and Union Territory Biodiversity Councils.
The gross NPA ratio i.e. gross NPAs as a percentage of gross loans and advances of Scheduled Commercial Banks (SCBs), for domestic operations, has been continuously declining during the last eight financial years, and were at a historic low of 2.15% as at the end of September, 2025 (provisional data), which is lower than 2010-11 level.
The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) initiated the Asset Quality Review (AQR) in 2015, post which the Government initiated 4R’s strategy of recognising NPAs transparently, resolving and recovering value from stressed accounts through clean and effective laws and processes, recapitalising PSBs,
and reforms in banks and financial ecosystem to address the problem of rising NPAs and growing loan default. Enabled by these initiatives, a large drop in gross NPAs was achieved by PSBs.
RBI has apprised that the data on gross NPAs of SCBs is not collected by RBI on monthly basis.
The Indian Pharmacopoeia Commission (IPC), an autonomous institution under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India, has entered into Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with the Goa State Pharmacy Council (GSPC), Quality Council of India (QCI), and HLL Infra Tech Services Limited (HITES),
to strengthen drug safety, quality assurance, and capacity-building initiatives in the country.
The MoU between IPC and GSPC provides a structured framework for collaboration in the areas of pharmacovigilance, rational use of medicines, and professional development of pharmacists in the State of Goa.
The collaboration envisages promotion of the National Formulary of India among registered pharmacists, strengthening of adverse drug reaction (ADR) reporting mechanisms under the Pharmacovigilance Programme of India (PvPI), conduct of training programmes, workshops, and continuing education activities, and facilitation of awareness initiatives related to drug safety,
pharmacopoeial standards, and sustainable pharmacopoeia. The MoU also aims to support the establishment and strengthening of ADR Monitoring Centres and enhance systematic reporting and documentation practices across healthcare facilities in the state.
