IDFC FIRST Bank launches Customer COVID relief Ghar Ghar Ration Program

IDFC FIRST Bank has announced the launch of ‘GharGhar Ration’ Program, an employee-funded program for its low-income customers whose livelihoods are affected by COVID-19. The bank has also announced a comprehensive program for the families of employees who unfortunately lost their lives due to COVID-19, and a number of other social response initiatives.

Uttarakhand: IIT Roorkee prof bags NSG award for ‘blast-resistant’ helmet

Shailesh Govind Ganpule, an assistant professor at the mechanical and industrial engineering department (MIED), was conferred the award with the ‘NSG Counter-IED and Counter-Terrorism Innovator Award 2021' for developing a “blast-resistant” helmet.

Forex reserves crossed USD 600 billion mark for first time: RBI data

The country's foreign exchange reserves crossed the USD 600 billion mark for the first time after increasing by USD 6.842 billion in the week ended June 4.

Gold reserves declined by USD 502 million to USD 37.604 billion. The special drawing rights (SDRs) with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) dipped USD 1 million to USD 1.513 billion.

India, Kuwait Sign Pact For Cooperation On Recruitment Of Indian Workers

India and Kuwait have signed an MoU that brings Indian domestic workers in the Gulf nation within the ambit of a legal framework that streamlines their recruitment and provides them with the protection of the law.

The MoU was signed by Indian Ambassador Sibi George and Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of Kuwait Majdi Ahmad Al-Dhafiri.
