The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the appointment of Krishnamurthy Subramanian as the new Chief Economic Advisor for a period of three years. He is currently an associate professor at the Indian School of Business ,Hyderabad.
He holds a PhD from Chicago Booth,alumnus of both IIT & IIM too.

Bank of Baroda has raised over Rs 971 crore by issuing Basel III compliant bonds. The bank issued Basel III compliant tier II bonds of face value of Rs 10 lakh each amounting to Rs 971.50 crore. Basel III is an international regulatory framework.
