Soil Health Card scheme was launched in Uttar Pradesh through agricultural department during Rabi season in 2015.
The scheme is aimed at making the farmers aware of usage of appropriate quantity of fertilizers on their soil.

2-day plenary meeting of NEC begins in Shillong

Rajnath Singh will chair a two-day plenary meeting of the North Eastern Council (NEC) in Shillong, Meghalaya.

Issues to be discussed includes transformation of several districts in the region, doubling farmers' income, road connectivity, 'Poshan Abhiyan' Ayushman Bharat and security of region.

Assam government has given special emphasis to make tea gardens open defecation free

SC rejects Centre’s plea to defer hearing on Section 377

SC refused to defer the hearing, scheduled on petitions against Section 377 of the IPC that criminalises homosexuality.

Bench headed by CJ Dipak Misra rejected the Centre’s plea.
