Border Roads Organisation Completes 102 Infrastructure Projects In FY22

In 2021-22, 102 infrastructure projects, including 87 bridges and 15 roads, were completed by the Border Roads Organisation (BRO), the most in a single year.

These projects include the construction of the world's longest highway tunnel, above 10,000 feet, named Atal Tunnel at Rohtang and the world's highest motorable road over Umling La in Eastern Ladakh.

Government-appointed committee headed by former commerce secretary Gopal Krishna Pillai will soon finalise the rates for the export-boosting scheme —Remission of Duties and Taxes on Export Products (RoDTEP) — towards exports from special economic zones (SEZs) and export-oriented units (EOUs).

American Express appoints Manoj Adlakha as SVP and International head, customer marketing and Sanjay Khanna as interim CEO

South Korea's intelligence agency has joined a cyber defense group under the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), becoming its first Asian member country.
