Reserve Bank’s gold reserves rose 4.5% to 794.64 tonnes in 2022-23

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) added 34.22 metric tonnes of gold in the fiscal year that ended March 31, 2023, taking the total gold reserves to 794.64 metric tonnes.

RBI held 760.42 metric tonnes as of March 31, 2022, compared to 695.31 metric tonnes as of March 31, 2021.

IMEs With Udyam Assist Certificate To Be Treated As Micro Units For PSL: RBI

The Reserve Bank said Informal Micro Enterprises (IMEs) with an Udyam Assist Certificate will be treated as micro-enterprises under MSME for the purposes of priority sector lending classification.

IMEs are those enterprises which are unable to get registered on the Udyam Registration Portal due to a lack of mandatory required documents, such as Permanent Account Number.

Indian shooters Hriday Hazarika and Nancy Mandhotra have bagged silver medals in the men’s and women’s 10 meter air rifle events, at the ongoing ISSF World Cup 2023 in Baku, Azerbaijan.

It was the first-ever ISSF World Cup medal for 21-year-old Hriday Hazarika as well as 19-year-old Nancy Mandhotra.

Hazarika made it to the men’s 10m air rifle final.
