Former Chief Election Commissioner N. Gopalaswami has been appointed as an electoral officer for the BCCI's Annual General Meeting. The elections of BCCI will be held on October 22. The election date was announced by the Committee of Administrators (CoA).

The Reserve Bank of India has imposed a monetary penalty of Rs 2 crore on Kotak Mahindra Bank for non-compliance of directions. This action was taken under sections 27(2) and 35A of the Banking Regulation Act, 1949.

RBI stated that the lenders must resolve non-performing assets (NPA) over Rs 2,000 crore within 180 days. Also, stated that in case of a default by a borrower, lenders must undertake a prima facie review of the borrower account within 30 days.
NPA – Principal/interest payment remained overdue for 90 days
State Bank of India has introduced a repo rate-linked home loan product. Home loans under this product will be priced at 2.65% over the repo rate of 5.75%. So, the home loan interest rate will work out to 8.40 %.
