CEC inaugurates 11th Annual Meeting of the Forum of the Election Management Bodies of South Asia (FEMBoSA) for 2021

Chief Election Commissioner of India and current Chairman, FEMBoSA Sushil Chandra inaugurated the 11th Annual meeting of the (FEMBoSA) for the year 2021. The meeting was hosted by the Election Commission of Bhutan. Alongwith India, delegations from Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Maldives, Nepal and Sri Lanka participated in the day-long meeting.

KVIC to supply 1.91 lakh Khadi durries for paramilitary forces

Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC) has received a supply order of 1.91 lakh Khadi cotton durries worth Rs 10 crore for paramilitary forces. The order has been received from Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) which is the nodal agency for procuring provisions on behalf of all paramilitary forces in the country. It follows an agreement between KVIC and ITBP.

Bangladesh to sign MoU with China for COVID vaccine co-production

Government of Bangladesh will sign an MoU for the co-production of the COVID 19 vaccine with China. Health Minister Zahid Maleque, Foreign Minister Dr A K Abdul Momen & the Chinese Ambassador to Bangladesh Li Jiming are scheduled to attend the MoU signing ceremony in Dhaka. In Archery, Komalika Bari became the new under-21 recurve world champion at the Youth World Championships in Wroclaw, Poland. India's Junior recurve archers also bagged gold in the men's and the mixed team event. RBI cancels license of Raigad based Karnala Nagari Sahakari Bank

Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has cancelled the licence of Karnala Nagari Sahakari Bank of Maharashtra. Consequently, the bank ceases to carry on banking business, with effect from the close of business. The RBI said the bank does not have adequate capital and earning prospects and failed to comply with the requirements of various sections of the Banking Regulation Act, 1949.

RBI imposes ₹1 crore penalty on Coöperatieve Rabobank U.A

RBI imposed a monetary penalty of ₹1 crore on Coöperatieve Rabobank UA. Its Mumbai Branch is a part of the Netherlands-based Rabobank Group.
