Amazon Web Services, AWS will invest around one lakh five thousand crore rupees by 2030 on cloud-related infrastructure in India. The company is making this investment to meet the growing demand of customers for cloud services. With this, Amazon's total investment in India by 2030 is estimated to reach over one lakh 36 thousand lakh crore rupees.
The United Kingdom has announced ban on Russian diamonds alongside the military-industrial complex and metals in fresh round of sanctions ahead of G7 meeting in Japan. In a statement, UK government said, the ban has also been announced on imports of Russian-origin copper, aluminium and nickel.

The Competition Commission of India (CCI) granted approval for the proposed merger of Credit Suisse Group AG with UBS Group AG, two prominent Swiss-based multinational investment banks and financial services companies. The Mahila Samman Savings Certificate (MSSC) scheme, which encourages women to invest, won't charge any tax on the interest earnings. The Union Ministry of Finance has included this scheme under sub-clause (c) of clause (i) of sub-section (3) of section 194A in the Income-tax Act, 1961. Thus TDS on interest up to Rs 40,000 is exempted.

Eminent educationist Manoj Soni took oath as the chairman of the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). Soni, who joined the Commission as member on June 28, 2017, has been performing the duties of the UPSC chairman since April 5, 2022. In a first in the country, the Kerala government launched a welfare fund for Mahatma Gandhi Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme workers in the State. Launching the initiative, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said the workers who have completed the age of 60 will be entitled for pension under the fund which will also provide financial assistance for medical, education etc.
