Amazon India launched its first ‘Digital Kendra’ in Surat, Gujarat, as part of its commitment to digitise 10 million Indian micros, small and medium enterprises by 2025.
Amazon Digital Kendras are bricks-and-mortar resource centres that will provide MSMEs information on benefits of e-commerce and help avail shipping and logistics support, digital marketing services, etc.

The Karnataka state government decided to develop 46 Kempegowda heritage sites located in Bengaluru Urban, Bengaluru Rural, Ramanagara, Chikballapura, and Tumakuru districts, in a bid to promote tourism. According to the Authority, these sites are developed to help people acknowledge the contribution of Kempegowda or Nada Prabhu Kempegowda, the founding father of Bengaluru.
The sites identified to be in three circuits, would be developed at a cost of Rs 223 cr.

Mountain biker Kanchan Ugursandi finished in New Delhi the world's first solo motorcycle expedition covering 18 treacherous passes of northern Himalayan mountain ranges.
Ms.Ugursandi has become the first solo woman biker to scale the Umlingla Pass, the first woman to cover the 18 passes.
She traversed the distance in 25 days.

National Film Archive of India (NFAI), announced a significant addition of the original camera negative of Rajkumar Hirani's 2014 film 'PK' in its collection.
The filmmaker handed the negatives over to Director NFAI, Prakash Magdum, in Mumbai.
The National Film Archive of India was established as a media unit of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting in 1964.

The Delhi Metro Railway Corporation launched a FASTag/UPI-based cashless parking facility at Kashmere Gate metro station in the national capital. The parking facility is the nation’s first to accept payment via the UPI (Unified Payments Interface) mode. This system is part of DMRC’s multimodal integration of transport services initiative.
The government has merged the Department of Public Enterprises (DPE) with the Finance Ministry to give it better control over state-owned firms and facilitate its ambitious privatisation programme.
Finance Ministry will now have 6 departments. Also, Foreign Investment Promotion Board was abolished and administration of foreign investments was given to the Finance Ministry.
Earlier, DPE was part of Ministry of Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises.
