Services Defeated Punjab to Win Santosh Trophy 2019

The Services lifted the 73rd Santosh Trophy after beating Punjab 1-nil in the final at Ludhiana. Bikash Thapa scored the winning goal. This is their 6th title win. Services is an Indian football team representing armed forces personnel.

The Civil Services Day is celebrated on April 21 every year. It was on this day that Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel addressed the 1st batch of civil servants in Independent India. This year the day was not celebrated due to the general elections.

Book on Jallianwala Bagh poem Khooni Vaisakhi released in UAE

India's Ambassador to the UAE Navdeep Singh Suri launches the book containing English translation of the Punjabi poem, Khooni Vaisakhi. The poem was translated by Suri whose grandfather Nanak Singh wrote it after witnessing the massacre on April 13, 1919.
