Kazakhstan financial regulator cancels licence of PNB subsidiary

Punjab National Bank said the financial regulator of Kazakhstan has revoked licence of its associate for failure to meet prudential standards and other mandatory norms. PNB holds 41.64% in JSC Tengri Bank. JSC Tengri Bank has nine branches in Kazakhstan.

Scientists discoveres a Jupiter-sized planet WD 1856 b

Scientists have, for the first time, discovered a Jupiter-sized planet orbiting a white dwarf or a dead star located about 80 light years away. Planet named WD 1856 b, orbits the smaller star remnant every 34 hours. A year on this planet is only 1.4 days.

Government amended the public procurement order 2017

Govt amended the Public Procurement (Preference to Make in India) Order, 2017 enabling nodal Ministries/ Departments to alert higher minimum local content requirement for Class-I & Class-II local suppliers which was earlier fixed at 50% & 20% respectively.
