Sports Minister Rijiju launches anti-doping reference material

A reference material jointly synthesised by the NDTL and the NIPER, Guwahati, for use in the anti-doping field was launched by Union Sports Minister. It would be used to strengthen anti-doping measures in all World Anti-Doping Agency accredited labs.

National Statistical Office released 1st Revised Estimates of National Income, Consumption Exp, Saving & Capital Formation

NSO has released 1st Revised Estimates(RE) for FY 2019-20 along with 2nd RE for FY 2018-19.

Nominal GDP- estimated at ₹203.51 lakh cr for 2019-20; ₹188.87 lakh cr for 2018-19.

Real GDP - ₹145.69 lakh cr for 2019-20; ₹140.03 lakh for 2018-19.

Lucknow Metro becomes first metro to use UV rays to sanitise train coaches

Lucknow Metro has become the 1st metro in the country to use ultraviolet rays to sanitise train coaches. DRDO approved the equipment in October last year which reduces the cost by 40 times less than what comes in sanitizing the coach by sodium hypochlorite

President of India launched the Pulse Polio Programme for 2021 by administering polio drops to children less than 5 years old. Around 17 crore children of less than 5 years of age will be given polio drops to sustain polio free status of the country.

RBI cancels licence of Kolhapur-based Shivam Sahakari Bank
