ECGC partners with Oliveboard to offer Pre-Examination Training to SC/ST students

Online platform Oliveboard partnered with ECGC (Export Credit Guarantee Corporation of India) body to launch a pre-examination training (PET) for marginalised aspirants before the upcoming ECGC PO exam. PET will target students from SC/ST backgrounds.

South Korea to construct world’s largest offshore wind farm

South Korea plans to build an 8.2GW offshore wind farm in Jeonnam province by 2030. This will be the world's biggest offshore wind power complex as it seeks to become carbon neutral by the year 2050. The project will cost a total of $43.2 billion.

BRICS’ New Development Bank commits $100 mn to NIIF Fund of Funds

NDB committed $100 million to India’s National Investment and Infrastructure Fund’s (NIIF) Fund of Funds. Envisioned in the Union budget 2015, NIIF was launched as an alternative investment fund in December 2016 with a target corpus of ₹40,000 crore.

RBI restricts withdrawals from Nashik based Independence Co-operative Bank

RBI in exercise of its powers under Section 35A of Banking Regulation Act, 1949, put restrictions on withdrawals from Independence Co-op Bank Limited because of its present liquidity position. However, 99.89% of the depositors are covered by DICGC scheme.

India’s real GDP will grow at 10.4% in FY22: India Ratings and Research

According to India Ratings and Research India’s real GDP will grow at 10.4 per cent in FY22, after a 7.8 per cent contraction in the pandemic-impacted FY21. The agency expects headline retail inflation to cool down to 4.3 per cent in FY22.

IRDAI annual report: LIC's claim settlement ratio deteriorated in FY20 to 96.6%

Life Insurance Corp. of India saw its claim settlement ratio deteriorate marginally in FY20 to 96.6% from 97.7% in FY19. The life insurance industry in total paid 8.46 lakh claims on individual policies, with a total pay-out of Rs 18042 crore in the FY20.
