India becomes the fastest country to administer 14 Crore Doses of COVID-19 Vaccine in just 99 days.

These include over 92,89,000 Healthcare Workers who have taken the 1st dose and around 60 lakh Health care workers who have taken the 2nd dose, over one crore 19 lakh Frontline Workers have taken the 1st dose and more than 62 lakh front line workers have taken the 2nd dose.

Indian, French Navy bilateral exercise VARUNA-2021 conducted in Arabian Sea

The 19th edition of the Indian and French Navy bilateral exercise ‘VARUNA-2021’ is to be conducted in the Arabian Sea from 25th to 27th April 2021.

The three-day exercise will see high tempo-naval operations at sea, including advanced air defense and anti-submarine exercises.

Ind Ratings and Research revises down India’s FY22 GDP growth forecast to 10.1%

India Ratings and Research revised down India’s FY22 real GDP growth forecast to 10.1%, from earlier projection of 10.4%, citing the second wave of COVID-19 infections and slower pace of vaccination.

Earlier this month, the Reserve Bank maintained its 10.5% GDP growth estimate,but Governor Shaktikanta Das has flagged the rising cases as the biggest impediment to recovery.

Rajasthan plans to provide 30 lakh Tap water connections by March 2022 under Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM)

Rajasthan has planned to provide 30 lakh Tap water connections by March 2022 under JJM. The state has more than 1crore rural households, out of which over 19% are getting tap water supply. In 2020-21, about 6,77,000 new tap connections were provided in rural areas.

JJM, a flagship programme of Union govt, aims to provide piped tap water in every rural household by 2024.

RBI allows commercial banks to pay up to 50% of pre-Covid dividends

RBI relaxed the dividend payout norms of commercial banks and allowed them to pay up to 50% of what they paid before Covid from the profits for the fiscal ended March 31, 2021.

For FY20, the RBI had asked banks not to make any dividend payment on equity shares from the profits in view of the ongoing stress and heightened uncertainty on account of Covid-19.

India FY22 GDP growth revised down to 10.4% from 11%: SBI Research report

The State Bank of India (SBI) Research has revised India's FY22 growth to 10.4% from 11% projected earlier in view of the increasing COVID-19 related curbs across states.

SBI Research further assessed that India would fully inoculate 15% of its populace only by December.
