World number one Ashleigh Barty (Australia) earned her third WTA title this year by defeating Aryna Sabalenka (Belarus) in the final of Stuttgart's clay-court tournament. After winning in Miami and a pre-Australian Open event in Melbourne on hard court, Barty added the Stuttgart title.

WHO validates Gambia for having eliminated trachoma as a public health problem

The World Health Organization (WHO) has validated Gambia for having eliminated trachoma as a public health problem, making it the second country in WHO’s African Region to achieve this milestone.It has become the 2nd African state to achieve this feat after Ghana did in 2018.

In 1996, WHO launched the WHO Alliance for the Global Elimination of Trachoma by 2020 (GET2020).

Tiny newfound 'Unicorn' is closest known black hole to Earth

Scientists at Ohio State University have discovered a record-breaking black hole. It is both one of the smallest black holes ever detected and the closest to Earth (1,500 light-years away and still inside the Milky Way galaxy). The researchers spotted it by finding something tugging on the red giant star and changing its shape. That effect is called a tidal distortion.
