Bangladesh Star Batter Tamim Iqbal Announces Retirement From T20Is

Bangladesh ODI captain Tamim Iqbal has announced his retirement from T20Is and his decision came shortly after his side defeated West Indies 3-0 in the three-match ODI series.

Having made his T20I debut in 2007, Tamim retires as Bangladesh’s third-highest run-getter in the format with 1701 runs in 74 matches at an average of 24.65 and strike rate of 117.47.

Stokes, 31, said the first ODI between England and South Africa in Durham would be his last in the format, adding that it was "an incredibly tough decision".

After making his ODI debut against Ireland in 2011, Stokes has scored 2919 runs, including three centuries, and taken 74 wickets in the format.
