NHAI organises workshop on global navigation satellite system-based tolling

The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) organized a workshop on Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) based tolling, which will help the government strategize and design the roadmap for free-flow tolling system in the country.

NHAI chairperson Alka Upadhyaya said the workshop would provide the likely way forward on deployment of GNSS-based tolling in India.

RBI to come out with a 'fraud registry' with IP addresses & contact details of scammers

The Reserve Bank of India is working on a new "fraud registry" — a reporting mechanism under which data shared by banks with RBI on fraudsters will enable the regulator to blacklist such callers.

The new reporting mechanism will carry details of IP addresses, locations and telephone numbers — reported by banks to RBI — of perpetrators defrauding bank customer repeatedly.

IRDAI eases firm registration process from 8 to 2 months

The registration process of new companies has been eased by substantially reducing the time taken to process new applications from 6-8 months to two. Rural Olympic Games begin in Rajasthan, about 30 lakh people to participate

India surpasses China, UK to become 10th largest life insurer globally

The Indian life insurance industry grew at a compounded annual growth rate (CAGR) of 11%, in terms of total premium and 17% in terms of new business premium, during 2017-22, according to a report by Benori Knowledge.The global provider of custom research and analytics solutions estimated that the industry will grow at a CAGR of 9% until 2027.
