Paytm Payments Bank rolls out new features on Paytm UPI

Paytm Payments Bank Ltd. (PPBL) rolled out a slew of new features for Paytm UPI, including UPI Lite on iOS, RuPay Credit Card on UPI, Split Bill and alternate UPI ID with the Paytm app to hide mobile numbers, and more.

PPBL was the first payments bank to go live with UPI Lite on the Paytm Super App and has seen rapid adoption with about 60 lakh users.

Centre is considering a new creditor-led insolvency resolution mechanism to fast-track the settlement processes and alleviate the burden on the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT).

Ban diesel four-wheelers in cities with 10 lakh population, says panel

India should by 2027 ban the use of diesel-powered four-wheelers in cities with over 10 lakh population and switch to electric and gas-fuelled vehicles, according to a report.

The report of the committee headed by former Oil Secretary Tarun Kapoor also suggested phasing out motorcycles, scooters, and three-wheelers with internal combustion engines by 2035.
