Qatar appointed a new Prime Minister replacing Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani. Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdelaziz Al Thani has been named as the new Prime Minister. The new PM had been the head of the Amiri Diwan, the emir's office.

NCCS scientists find new microbial species “Natrialba swarupiae”

The studies on the microorganism archaea from the Sambhar lake in Rajasthan helped scientists at the National Centre for Cell Science, Pune, to discover a novel archael species called ‘Natrialba swarupiae’. They named the species after Dr. Renu Swarup.
