India's stand-in captain Jasprit Bumrah smoked English pacer Stuart Broad for ---4,5w,7nb,4,4,4,6,1 -- a total of whooping 35 runs of which 29 runs went to Bumrah's account.

The world record stayed with Brian Lara for 18 years -- he had hit South African left-arm spinner Robin Peterson for 28 runs in a Test match in 2003-04.

NMCG Creates Amrit Vatika with Planting of 75 Saplings

Namami Gange Amrit Vatika was created at Kalindi Kunj ghat on River Yamuna in Delhi under the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav during which 75 saplings were planted by National Mission for Clean Ganga (NMCG) in association with Delhi Jal Board (DJB), NGOs and other associated organisations.

Plantation activities were carried out under the initiative ‘Yamuna Ghat par Vriksharopan'.

India, Saudi Arabia hold talks to boost defence cooperation

India and Saudi Arabia held wide-ranging talks to further bolster bilateral defence cooperation.

It was held in Delhi and were co-chaired by Joint Secretary in the defence ministry Dinesh Kumar and Saudi Arabia’s Deputy Minister of Defence and Strategic Affairs Ahmed A Aseeri.

It was the fifth meeting of the India-Saudi Arabia Joint Committee on Defence Cooperation.

Railway Protection Force(RPF) seized narcotic substances worth Rs 7.40 cr, arrested 165 in June

In a crackdown on narcotic substances, RPF recovered various narcotic products, including designer drugs, valued at over Rs 7.40 crore last month and arrested 165 people with Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances(NDPS).

RPF started a month-long pan-India drive against smuggling of narcotics through rail, named Operation ‘NARCOS’ in the month of June.

India Gets $1.75 Billion World Bank Loan For Health, Private Investment

World Bank has approved loans totalling $1.75 billion to fund India's PM Ayushman Bharat scheme and private investment to boost economic growth.

Of the total loan, $1 billion will go towards the health sector, while the rest $750 million will be in the form of development policy loan (DPL) to fill the financing gaps through private sector investment in the economy.

NCRTC, DB India sign pact for operation of Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut RRTS corridor

In a first-of-its-kind move, National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) signed an agreement with DB India for the comprehensive operation and maintenance of the 82 km long Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS) corridor for a period of 12 years.

DB India is a subsidiary of Deutsche Bahn AG, National Railway Company of Germany.

India’s manufacturing sector activity eased to a nine-month low in June as growth of total sales and production moderated amid intense price pressures, a monthly survey said.

The seasonally adjusted S&P Global India Manufacturing Purchasing Managers’ Index (PMI) fell to 53.9 in June from 54.6 in May, the weakest pace of growth since last September.

UPI transactions remain above Rs 10 trillion in June, shows NPCI data

UPI-enabled digital transaction remained above Rs 10 lakh crore in June for the second month in a row, data from NPCI showed.

However, it was down by nearly 3 per cent from the previous month.

The transaction value under Unified Payments Interface (or BHIM UPI) digital payments in June 2022 stood at Rs 10,14,384 crore, down by 2.6 per cent from the previous month.
