Former SBI chairperson Arundhati Bhattacharya has joined the board of Reliance Industries (RIL) as independent additional director in a regulatory filing. She has been appointed for a period of five years.

Union Minister for Railways, Coal and Corporate Affairs Piyush Goyal will receive the prestigious Carnot prize for his contribution towards sustainable energy solutions. He will be awarded at the University of Pennsylvania School of Design.

IFC launches $1 billion masala bond programme to aid India investments

IFC, a member of the World Bank Group, has launched a $1 billion masala bond programme to fund its investment activities in India. The first tranche of $100 million under the programme, was sold to a range of investors, in the US and Europe.

Forex reserves plunge by $5.14 bn on decline in foreign currency assets
