Minister of State for Public Grievances and Pensions Dr Jitendra Singh launched Good Governance Index in New Delhi on the occasion of Good Governance Day on 25th December. The Day is observed on the birth anniversary of former PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee.

NITI Aayog to launch SDG India Index & Dashboard 2019–20

NITI Aayog will launch the second edition of Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) India Index and Dashboard 2019–20 on 30 December 2019. It was the first tool developed by any large country to monitor progress towards achieving SDGs at sub-national level.

SEBI signs pact with AFSA for mutual co-operation, technical assistance

SEBI has signed a pact with Kazakhstan's Astana Financial Services Authority (AFSA) for the mutual co-operation and technical assistance. The objective of the bilateral MoU is to strengthen cross border co-operation in the area of securities regulation.

Saudi Arabia & Kuwait signed an agreement to resume pumping at 2 major oilfields in a shared neutral zone shut for five years due to a bilateral disagreement. They also signed an agreement on the demarcation of land & maritime borders in the neutral zone.

Rohtang tunnel in Himachal Pradesh named as Atal tunnel

ICC Test rankings: Kohli finishes 2019 as top ranked batsman

Renowned Hindi author Ganga Prasad passed away

Renowned Hindi author Ganga Prasad Vimal was killed in a road accident in Sri Lanka. Born in 1939 in Uttarkashi, Vimal wrote more than a dozen poetry collections, short story collections and novels. His last novel- ‘Manushkhor’ was published in 2013.
