The Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur (IIT-K) has developed an Ultraviolet (UV) sanitising product named ‘Shuddh’ that can disinfect a room in 15 minutes. It can also be used to prevent infection in hospitals, hotels, malls, offices and schools.
In its initial tests, it disinfected a 10 sq. ft room in 15 mins
Pangolins are the most trafficked wild mammals in the world, with the seizure of their scales increasing 10 fold between 2014 & 2018 according to a recent UN report. Meat and scales of pangolins are used for medicinal purposes in several parts of the world
