National Education Day was celebrated on the 11th of November. The day is observed to commemorate the birth anniversary of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad. He was a freedom fighter, scholar and the first Education Minister of independent India.

Drug major Cipla has received final approval from the US health regulator for Valganciclovir tablets, used in the treatment of viral eye infection in AIDS patients. Cipla has received approval for the product in the strength of 450 mg from the USFDA.

Shares of PNB Housing Finance gained 5.3 percent intraday after it obtained refinance sanction of Rs 3,500 crore from the National Housing Bank (NHB). The funds will be utilized for the specific sector wise disbursements as per norms of the NHB schemes.
