India Ratings & Research has lowered the country’s growth forecast for the current fiscal to 7.3 %, from the earlier projection of 7.5 % for the fiscal year 2019-2020.
IMF also projected India to grow at 7.3% for FY 2019-20.

The Goods and Services Tax (GST) collection in April touched ₹1.13 lakh crore, the highest since the nationwide levy was rolled out in July 2017. The revenue in April is 16% higher than the monthly average GST revenue of ₹98,114 crore in 2018-19.
This is the 5th time the collections crossed ₹1 lakh crore.
