PV Sindhu became the 1st Indian to win badminton World Championships gold by beating Nozomi Okuhara of Japan in Basel. It was Sindhu's 5th World Championships medal. She won a silver in 2016 Rio Olympic Games, a silver at Gold Coast Commonwealth Games

Komalika Bari becomes recurve cadet world champion; India wins 2 gold, 1 bronze

Komalika Bari became recurve cadet world champion at the World Archery Youth Championships in Madrid. She defeated Sonoda Waka of Japan in the final. Bari is the 2nd recurve cadet world champion (U-18) after Deepika Kumari who won the title in 2009.

NHB to provide Rs 20,000 crore additional liquidity support to housing finance companies

National Housing Bank will provide additional liquidity support of Rs 20,000 crore to housing finance companies to boost credit support for the purchase of houses. It will increase the total liquidity support to Rs 30,000 crore.

BHEL bags Rs. 2,500 cr orders for emission control systems from NTPC
