RBI directs large co-op banks to report exposures above Rs 5 Cr

RBI has directed large cooperative banks to report all exposures of 5 Cr and more to the Central Repository of Information on Large Credits (CRILC). UCBs will be required to submit CRILC report on quarterly basis with effect from December 31, 2019.

No Merchant Discount Rate on transactions through RuPay, UPI platforms from 1 January 2020

No MDR will be applicable on transactions through RuPay & UPI platforms beginning 1 January 2020. All companies with a turnover of 50 Cr or more will be mandated to provide the facility of payment through RuPay Debit card & UPI QR code to their customers.

UN ups 2020 budget, includes funds for war crimes probes

UAE extends 300 million US dollars of development aid to Jordan

The Abu Dhabi Fund for Development (ADFD) extended 300 million US dollars as development aid to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. Thousands of refugees have been pouring into Jordan to escape Syria’s civil war. Syria shares the northern border with Jordan.
