In a significant ruling, the Supreme Court said that access to the Internet is a fundamental right under Article 19 of the Constitution. 5-judge bench headed by Justice NV Ramana also asked the Jammu and Kashmir administration to restore Internet services.
The verdict came on a batch of pleas.

Digital payments gateway provider PayU has acquired a controlling stake in Mumbai-based consumer lending platform PaySense & all its assets at a valuation of $185 million. PayU will inject up to $200 million in the newly created entity as equity capital.

In a move that can further increase the mass market appeal of mutual funds,RBI allowed Systematic Investment Plan (SIPs) to be registered via UPI (Unified Payments Interface).It will apply to SIPs meaning that an SIP up to ₹2,000 can be registered via UPI.
UPI currently has around 10 crore users.
