IIT Roorkee develops low-cost face shields for protection of first line healthcare professionals fighting COVID-19

IIT Roorkee has developed low-cost face shields for first-line healthcare professionals at AIIMS Rishikesh. The frame of the face shield is 3D printed & can be used along with the protective gear while entering the wards housing patients.

Centre releases ₹17,287 crore to states

Direct Tax mop-up declines by over 8%

Forex reserves surge $5.65 bn to $475.56 bn

After falling massively, the country's foreign exchange reserves surged by $5.65 billion to $475.56 billion helped by an increase in foreign currency assets, according to the latest data from the Reserve Bank of India (RBI).

Fitch slashes India growth forecast to 30-year low of 2% for FY21

Fitch Ratings slashed India's growth forecast for the FY21 to a 30-year low of 2%, from 5.1% projected earlier. Fitch also said MSMEs and the services segment are likely to be among the most affected amid reduced consumer spending.

RBI reduces trading timings of currency and debt markets

RBI announces 3rd targeted LTRO for Rs 25,000 crore

To ensure adequate liquidity in the system, RBI announced the third targeted long-term repo operation (TLTRO) for ₹25,000 crore and will conduct TLTROs of up to 3-year tenor of appropriate sizes for a total amount of up to ₹1,00,000 crore.
