Govt comes out with methodology for rationalisation of coal linkages

Population of Asiatic lions increases by 28.87%: Report

In the recent exercise called Poonam Avalokan, which was carried out by the forest department, the population of Asiatic lions has shown a steady increase by 28.87%. The population of lions has gone up to 674 against the 523 which was reported in 2015.

Bank of Baroda, Union Bank of India reduce MCLR across all tenors

BoB and UBI have announced cut in their Marginal Cost of Funds-Based Lending Rates (MCLR) across all tenors. BoB has revised its one-year MCLR to 7.65% from 7.80%. Union Bank of India has reduced its one-year MCLR to 7.60 per cent from 7.70 per cent.

India continues to lose forest land to non-forestry projects: Report

A total 11,467.83 hectares forest lands were diverted in 22 states between January 1 & November 6, 2019 according to the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change Annual Report 2019-20. Diversion was for 932 non-forestry projects under FCA, 1980.
