Indian economy to rebound with 8.9% growth in fiscal 2022: IHS Markit

According to HIS Markit, Indian economy is likely to rebound with 8.9% growth in the FY beginning Apr ‘21. The National Statistical Organisation predicted that the economy would contract 7.7% in the current FY. Economy suffered a severe contraction in 2020

Japan commits ₹2,113 cr support for COVID relief efforts

Government clears eight hydropower projects on Indus in Ladakh

The government has cleared eight hydropower projects of 144 MW on the Indus river and its tributaries in Ladakh. The projects have been cleared by the Central Water Commission as well as the Indus Commissioner after a separate UT of Ladakh was announced.
