PM inaugurated the 2nd edition of the Maritime India summit. Investment announcements worth Rs 3 lakh crore are expected. The ministry of ports is the main coordinating ministry. 1.7 Lakh participants from more than 100 nations to take part in the summit.
PM also launched an e-book of maritime ‘vision 2030’.

MoHUA launched the field assessment of Swachh Survekshan -2021. Swachh Survekshan was introduced in 2016 as a competitive framework to encourage cities to improve the status of urban sanitation while encouraging large scale citizen participation.

US Food and Drug Administration formally approved the single-shot Johnson & Johnson coronavirus vaccine. The vaccine is set to be a cost-effective alternative to the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines and can be stored in a refrigerator instead of a freezer.
It is the 3rd vaccine to be authorised in the country.

Gross GST revenue collected in February is Rs. 1.13 Lakh Crore. Out of this, CGST is Rs. 21092 crore, SGST is Rs. 27273 crores & IGST is Rs. 55253 crore & Cess is Rs. 9,525 crore. Revenues for February are 7% higher than the GST revenues of February 2019.
Revenues from the import of goods were 15% higher than Feb ’19.
Bharat Petroleum Corp board approved sale of its 61.65% stake in Numaligarh refinery for ₹9875 crore. Consortium of OIL & Engineers India Ltd to acquire 49% & 13.65% to be sold to govt of Assam. Sale of NRL is seen as 1st step towards disinvestment of BPCL
