Edelweiss signs MoU with Central Bank of India to strengthen co-lending partnership

Edelweiss Retail Finance Limited (ERFL), a subsidiary of Edelweiss Group, announced that it has signed a new memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Central Bank of India (CBoI).

This strengthens its existing co-lending partnership with CBoI, which is one of the largest commercial banks for the priority sector lending to MSMEs.

Union Cabinet approves nutrient-based subsidy for P&K fertilisers

Union Cabinet approved the proposal of the Department of Fertilizers for fixation of 'Nutrient Based Subsidy Rates' for Phosphatic and Potassic (P&K) Fertilizers for the year 2021-22.

The government will spend additional Rs 14,000 crore on increase subsidy support for DAP fertilizer.

SBI Launches KAVACH Personal Loan for COVID Affected Families

State Bank of India (SBI) recently launched its new personal loan scheme 'KAVACH'. The new loan has been introduced by the bank to help its customers with the treatment of COVID-19.SBI KAVACH loan can be availed by salaried, non-salaried, as well as pensioner customers of State Bank of India. Loan amount ranges from a minimum of Rs 25,000 to a maximum of Rs 5,00,000.

Direct tax collection for FY22 up over 100% to Rs 1.85 lakh cr

Gross collection of direct taxes (before adjusting for refunds) for FY22 stands at Rs 2,16,602 crore compared to Rs 1,37,825 crore in corresponding period of preceding year.

Net tax collection grew 100.4 per cent to Rs 1,85,871 crore in FY22 as on June 15 as compared to Rs 92,762 crore over the corresponding period of the preceding year.

Renowned Jammu-based Islamic scholar Mufti Faiz-ul-Waheed, who first translated Quran into Gojri language, has passed away in a Jammu.

The scholar had also authored several booklets including ‘Siraj-um-Muneera’, ‘Ahkam-e-Mayyat’ and ‘Namaz Kae Masayil Quran-o-Hadees Ki Roshni Mei’.
