Air Marshal Vivek Ram Chaudhari will take charge as the next chief of the Indian Air Force (IAF) after the retirement of RKS Bhadauria on September 30.
In his decades-long career, Air Marshal Chaudhari was awarded Param Vishisht Seva Medal (PVSM), Ati Vishisht Seva Medal (AVSM) and Vayu Sena Medal. He was commissioned into the Fighter stream of IAF on December 29, 1982.

Ever since the UN declared 23rd September as the International Sign Language Day, ISLRTC has celebrated it every year. ISLRTC signed an MoU with National Council of Educational Research &Training (NCERT) for converting NCERT textbooks from Class I to XII into Indian Sign Language (digital format) to make the textbooks accessible to children with hearing disabilities

Telangana govt signed MoU with Wingsure, an insurtech venture spin-out of Stanford Research Institute that leverages artificial intelligence and deep technology to protect farmers worldwide. As a part of the agreement, Wingsure will provide deep-tech-based personalized crop insurance products and advisory services to small, underserved farmers in the state.
NEC announced that its iris recognition technology ranked first in the world in the most recent iris recognition technology benchmark test, IREX 10, conducted by U.S. National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). In this benchmark test, the technology was evaluated with an accuracy rate of 99.59% for 1: N Identification for images including both eyes.

WHO released their revised Air Quality Guidelines for the first time after 16 years. The recommended annual standard of PM2.5 concentration has been decreased from 10 µg/m3 to 5 µg/m3, while the daily standard has dipped from 25 µg/m3 to 15 µg/m3, suggesting a stricter monitoring of air pollution levels across the globe.

Former Delhi Police Commissioner YS Dadwal has died. The 1974-batch IPS officer became the Delhi Police Commissioner in 2007 and was transferred to Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) as its Director General in 2010.
After retiring from the services, he was also appointed as the Governor of Arunachal Pradesh in 2016.
