BOB Cards partners NPCI for RuPay credit cards

BOB Financial Solutions (BFSL), a subsidiary of Bank of Baroda (BoB) has partnered with the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) to launch BoB Credit Cards (Easy and Premier variants) on the RuPay platform.

Both Easy and Premier variants of BoB credit cards have been launched on the JCB International network and both cards support global acceptance.

Bhel's air pollution control tower prototype inaugurated in Noida

Union Minister of Heavy Industries Mahendra Nath Pandey inaugurated the Air Pollution Control Tower prototype developed by state-run Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd in Noida.

The tower has been set up on the traffic island between the DND flyway & the slip road to Noida Expressway as pollution is high in this area due to the high volume of traffic.

ED Director Sanjay Mishra gets one year extension

The Government has extended the tenure of Director of Enforcement Directorate (ED) Sanjay Mishra by one year till November 18, 2022.

He became the first beneficiary of the Ordinance promulgated by the Modi government that provided the extension of the tenure of the ED as director. Mishra, a 1984-batch Indian Revenue Service (IRS) cadre of the Income Tax Department.

Japan to provide USD 2.6 bn loan for power and metro project in Bangladesh

Reserve Bank has cautioned the public against co-operative societies using words “bank", "banker" or "banking" as part of their names unless specifically permitted. It also clarified that deposits with there societies are not eligible for insurance cover.

India, US set to revive Trade Policy Forum after four years

India and the United States (US) are set to revive the Trade Policy Forum (TPF) after four years, in an attempt to bolster trade and investment flows between the two nations.
