The Uttar Pradesh government has renamed Jhansi Railway Station as 'Veerangana Laxmibai Railway Station' after Rani Laxmibai. Earlier the Mughalsarai Railway station was renamed as Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhyaya junction and the Faizabad Railway station as Ayodhya Cantt. Faizabad and Allahabad districts, were renamed as Ayodhya and Prayagraj, respectively.

The BRICS New Development Bank (NDB) has announced the admission of Egypt as its new member. Egypt is the fourth new member admitted into NDB, after Bangladesh, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Uruguay, further expanding the bank's global outreach.Headquartered in Shanghai, the NDB was established by BRICS nations, namely Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa.
The bank formally opened in July 2015.
The Multiproduct pipeline from Bina Refinery (MP) to POL Terminal at Panki, Kanpur (UP) was inagurated by the Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. The 356 Km long project has a capacity of around 3.45 million metric tonne per annum. This Project also includes augmentation of Tankage capacity and construction of Rail Loading Gantry at Panki POL Terminal.
Total cost of the project is Rs.1524 crore

Based out of Sheffield and Oxford in the UK, Faradion has a patented sodium-ion battery technology.Reliance New Energy Solar will also invest £25 million in growth capital.

GST revenue collected in December 2021 was over ₹ 1.29 lakh crore, 13 per cent higher than the same month in 2020. The gross GST revenue collected in the month of December 2021 is ₹ 1,29,780 crore, of which CGST is ₹ 22,578 crore, SGST is ₹ 28,658 crore, IGST is ₹ 69,155 crore (including ₹ 37,527 crore collected on import of goods) and cess is ₹ 9,389 crore.
